Today marks a major moment in the evolution of both Lowick and Hedry.

I started Lowick over 9 years ago in the depths of the Corbyn era and the post-Brexit Referendum chaos. It was clear that traditional public affairs agencies didn’t truly understand the currents underneath Labour at the time. They weren’t equipped to explain the key role the party in local government and at mayoral level still had in the lives of corporate Britain – and the role of the affiliated trade unions, which is still massively misunderstood in the public affairs industry.

We changed that.

Over the years we’ve established ourselves as experts in the politics of the Labour Party at local and national level (the trajectory of the party mirroring the growth of Lowick); handled many reputational crises for clients; helped deliver planning consents for thousands of homes, offices and other property developments; and more recently helped countless organisations prepare for, and then work with, a Labour government.

It was always the intention following the 2024 General Election to broaden Lowick’s base and offer to cover other political perspectives and PR disciplines.

That’s why last year, along with Nathan Parsad-Wyatt, I launched Hedry, a sister consultancy to Lowick focusing on multi-party campaigns, and leveraging Nathan’s experience in the politics of the Conservative Party and the political right wing.

We built Hedry to grow fast. And it has. Leveraging the financial and bench strength of Lowick, we were able to deliver an accelerated three year business plan in just 12 months. Remarkable given the economy. Unsurprising if you know Nathan.

And so our plan moves to the next stage.

Today we merge Lowick and Hedry into Lowick Hedry. Based in our new offices in King’s Cross and Cambridge, Lowick Hedry is cross-party by design and multi-disciplined in approach.

Our strengthened team can meet client needs from local to national government; help deliver the most sensitive and high risk of planning consents; manage your reputation crisis and litigation; and turn its hand to your corporate reputation.

We’ve got the insights to advise – and the relationships to deliver.

There are too many people to thank in person for our success to date, but heartfelt gratitude to our current and former staff, friends and, of course, clients, without whom non of this would have been possible. One person I do want to namecheck is Matthew Faulding. Matt was right there with me at the start on a hot desk in the Shard and was critical in building the solid foundations on which Lowick Hedry now flourishes.

We’ve got some exciting new hires in the offing, alongside a soon-to-launch graduate programme and the start of our first apprentice. If you’re interested in joining us at this exciting time, do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

Lowick Hedry: are you ready for what’s next?
